Day 3 in Ireland

To start off, I’m horrible at writing these in a decent time frame, so we shall see how many I get done this weekend!

Day 3 started off a little interesting because I tried to use the aga to cook breakfast but its at the end of the winter so it wasnt very hot. It runs on coal I think and is always on in the winter but it needs to be cleaned right now so it took forever to cook my mushrooms and eggs but it did eventually and they were pretty good still.

After breakfast we went down and met the neighbors because our pastures go right to their property and they keep an eye on the animals also. They run a supply business for feed and fertilizer and things amd the wife came out to meet us first and Ronald had her guess where we were from with our accents and she got Simone from Canada, but guessed Australian for me! Why I have no idea but we all agreed I dont sound Australian lol. I do say “yall” alot but that’s not Australian… Both of the houses (ours and the neighbors) are absolutely beautiful and I love all the architecture here! Its so much prettier than in the States.

Simone and I started planning out what we wanted to do in Dublin while Ronald and Chantal were gone and then started cleaning the outside of all the ground floor windows. They were kind of actually gross (lots of spiders and spiderwebs), and it started raining on us so we went in and made pasta for lunch!

After lunch we split up and Simone kept working on the windows and I finished putting manure on the bushes in front of the house. One of the cats, Margarita, is the clingiest cat I have ever seen and we both loved it. At first she was following me down the row of bushes and then she was “helping” Simone with the windows!

We made pancakes for dinner and then watered the plants, and with two of us it went way quicker cause we were able to do the front and back of the house simultaneously. Margarita once again had to help lol.

That is pretty much it for day 3, and Ronald and Chantal are leaving early tomorrow morning so we will be on our own until Monday (they get in late Sunday). See you tomorrow!
